Children again excited about E-Waste Race
In recent weeks, another 15 E-Waste Races were successfully completed. During an E-Waste Race, children from primary schools collect old electrical appliances. And the more, the better! Because the winning schools will go on a school trip to science museum NEMO.
Hundreds of schools, tons of e-waste
In recent months, races were held in e.g. Groningen, Oldamt, Westerwolde, Amsterdam, Gooi and Vechtstreek, Noord Veluwe and the Helmond region. A total of 330 schools participated this year, together collecting half a million kilos of e-waste.
Cooperation partner Race against Waste, a growing organisation
We’ve been helping Race against Waste with organising the E-waste Races for 8 years now. It has grown into a mature organisation, which has expanded the races to Germany and has started textile races as well. In 2021, the company won that year’s edition of the Circular Award Public and this year, as in previous years, the initiative again earned a place in Trouw Sustainable 100.
