Registration in Europe

You are a producer or importer of electrical devices and put these on the market in European countries. This means adhering to the different environmental laws regarding WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) in the EU by registering and reporting your sales in all these countries. Every country in Europe has its own WEEE, Battery and/or Packaging registration system. Some countries have only one system, others have several. Every system has its own procedures and registration costs. This can bring about a lot of red tape. Weee Nederland makes sure that you are registered correctly in every country and with this you have just one contact for all countries. Weee Nederland does this for, among other, ModusLink. The cooperation is a success. We talked to Thomas Krijnen from ModusLink about what he thinks about Weee Nederland.
